We’re especially excited for our next event, which is produced in collaboration with the Marlborough Community Coalition and The Catalyst Project. These two organizations are working hard to increase mobility, reuse and redevelop vacant land and historic buildings, strengthen culture, arts, and social systems, and provide better access to healthy food for residents of this long-time food desert.
We hope you’ll join us Saturday, July 27th from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Center Alternative School (8434 Paseo, KCMO) to support the community and all the inspiring work they’re doing!
Tickets are available for purchase here: http://breadkc.brownpapertickets.com/. Please note that we’re offering a special “Sponsor” ticket for this event. For the price of an additional admission, you will provide dinner and a ballot for an unemployed/income restricted resident that otherwise may not be able to attend. In exchange for free admission, attendees have agreed to donate at least one hour of community service to the Marlborough neighborhood. Everybody wins!
Do you have a project that could take place in the Marlborough neighborhood or directly affect its residents? If so, we’re still accepting applications for presentations! Download our application here and email the completed version to us at firstname.lastname@example.org Deadline for applications is Saturday, July 20th.
