Kansas City Culture, a great local organization and loyal supporter of BREAD! KC, is throwing us a fundraiser! All proceeds from the event will help us develop programming for the BREAD! KC project, which will ultimately flow back into the Kansas City creative community.

Come join us to kick off the Halloween season with marshmallow roasting, bobbing for apples, a photo booth, a live dj, dancing, cheap drinks, and loads of raffle prizes!

The theme of the evening is Masquerade Carnival, but no costume is

required. Feel free to break out that Venetian mask you’ve had laying around, though – there will be prizes for best costume.

The event is open to the public and will take place at the Carriage House just west of The Levee (20 W. 43rd St, KCMO).

-$5 door cover per person-all going BREAD! KC to support future programming.
-Raffle Tickets sold for prizes donated by local sponsors such as Farm to Market Bread Co., Oddly Correct Coffee, Vahalla Studios, morsel, Boulevard Brewing Company, The Local Pig, The Rieger, Remedy Food & Drink, Cart Wheel, Sporting KC, and many more!
– Live DJ with music and a dance floor until 2:30am
-Marshmallow roasting and bobbing for apples on the patio

2nd Anniversary BREAD! KC at The Local Pig

2618 Guinotte Ave, KCMO
Sunday, October 21st, 2:00 pm

TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE:http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/271903

We’re really hoping this two-year anniversary event will help us break $10,000 in awarded micro-grants, and we need your help to do that!

Our host this month, The Local Pig, is owned and operated by a couple good friends of ours, Alex Pope & Miles Maassen, who feel people need to know more about where the food they eat comes from and how it gets there. They also know the value of buying local. That’s why they run an ecologically responsible butcher shop that not only offers butcher classes to the community, but also sources all their meat from within 100 miles of KC.

We wanted to go all out for this one, so naturally, we’re roasting a pig. Boulevard is providing beer for this event, so you know it will be a good time!

Please note that there is a seating cap on this event and if you don’t RSVP, we won’t be able to accommodate you. In addition, due to the anticipated large turn out, we WILL NOT be taking money at the door for this event.

To secure your spot, you MUST buy your tickets ahead of time at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/271903. Since this is a special event, the tickets are $15, but we promise that it will be well worth it!
